Your Family. Our Highest Standard.
Sending your child off in a vehicle that isn’t your own is one of the hardest things a parent does. We know that. Whether your child is in early childhood, has special needs, is in a foster care or McKinney-Vento program, or is part of a post-high-school program, you are trusting us with the most important person in your life. We don’t take that lightly, and we built Secure Student Transport around that responsibility.
Drivers and Aides You Can Trust
Every driver and aide on a Secure Student vehicle goes through the same hiring and training standards required of district school bus operations, and in many cases more rigorous ones. That includes FBI background checks, 10+ state-agency background checks, drug screening prior to hire, and random testing throughout employment. Our training program was designed by an individual who helped write the standards in this industry, so every team member behind the wheel and beside the aisle has been prepared with safety, compliance, and student care as the top priorities.
For special education routes, our drivers and aides are trained to work as a team. They learn the specific attention and care each student needs, and they show up consistently so your child sees familiar, trusted faces day after day.
You Can See Where Your Child Is
We give parents direct visibility into their student’s daily route through our parent app. You’ll be able to see where the vehicle is in real time, get notified about pickup and arrival, and stay connected with the route without having to call the school or the dispatcher.
Behind the scenes, every vehicle has live GPS tracking, real-time onboard cameras, digital radios, and driver-assist tablets. That means our team always knows where your child is and can respond instantly if anything comes up.
Specialized Care for Specialized Needs
Secure Student isn’t a charter company that happens to drive students. We are built specifically for supplemental student transportation, and we provide specialized service for students who often need it most:
Early childhood students, including ECSE programs. Special education students who require wheelchair-accessible vehicles with lift assistance. Out-of-district SPED students. McKinney-Vento and foster care students who need consistent transportation through life transitions. Post-high-school SPED students ages 18 to 21. And in-district shuttle riders.
For each of these populations, our vehicles, our staff, and our protocols are designed for the specific needs of the students we serve.
Communication You Don’t Have to Chase
If something happens on a route, you’ll hear about it from us. We report performance, behavioral incidents, and any issue proactively, both to your district and, when appropriate, to families. You won’t be the last to know. You won’t have to call three numbers to get an answer. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
Parallel to Yellow Bus, Not a Step Down
The biggest mistake supplemental transportation providers make is treating themselves as separate from the school district’s main transportation system. We don’t. Our safety protocols, compliance standards, and reporting all run parallel to yellow bus operations. That means the bus your child rides with us is held to the same level of accountability as any school bus in your district.
Questions or Concerns?
We’re here to talk. If you have questions about a route, a driver, a vehicle, or anything else, please reach out. The best parent partnerships are the ones built on open communication, and we want yours to be one of them.
